This year over 39,000 women and 400 men will die from breast cancer in the U.S. alone. Here at NextMedia360.com, we’re taking this opportunity to leverage our assets to help bring support and awareness during October’s Breast Cancer Awareness month. That’s why we’ve painted our logo pink on both our website and on our Facebook page. We’re also encouraging folks to support the awareness effort through social media and our NextMedia radio stations.
Here are just a few ways our radio stations are helping to make a difference:
Mad Rock 102.5, 93.1 KMKT, and 97.5 KLAK, The Moose 94.5, Mix 106.3, WSGW 790, FM Talk 100.5, Kiss 107.1 have painted their websites pink all month long. Also, Mix 106.3 and the American Cancer Society are teaming up for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk.
95.9 The River dressed their logo in pink and a pink ribbon, as well as their website. The logo isn’t the only thing dressed in pink, morning show personalities Scott Mackay and Mitch Michaels donned pink bras for a video to promote their Titans for the Tatas team for the 2012 Fox Valley Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, hosted by mid-day personality Danielle Tufano.
Morning show personality Joe Cicero at Star 105.5 is honoring his late mother with a fundraising drive and run in Care 4 Breast Cancer 5K. Both Joe and his boss Jack Taddeo have committed to dying their hair pink if they hit the $5,000 goal.
98.3 WCCQ has redesigned its website header and dressed it in pink to show support for Breast Cancer Awareness, and Bob 93.3 is doing a Breast Cancer Awareness tip of the day on Facebook.
The journey to end breast cancer starts with a single step. Join us in raising awareness through your network of clients and customers and together, we help join the fight in finding a cure!
